What's in my make-up bag? - The Essentials

By SugarPlumPosts - 13:07

When I am awake at the crack of dawn for work (pinning my eyes open with match sticks) I aim to get my make-up done in under 15 minutes. This is a challenge for make-up lovers like me but I promise it is possible! I have compiled a list of make-up essentials for getting ready super quick! These are the products I could not live without. Take a peek at what essentials I keep in my make-up bag.

Yes. This is a Zoella product. No. I am not a teenage girl who obsesses over her. BUT I love guinea pigs! And the fact it has glasses on makes me laugh. It's the simple things in life... Anyway, I do love this case mainly because it is the perfect size. I can fit a load of stuff in here but it's not too big to travel with. It also has a plastic outside so it can easily be wiped clean.

Mascara is a must in any make-up bag. I think it's the most important product when it comes to make-up. This one is the Maybelline Lash Sensational and it's the best mascara I've used to date! Read my full review here.

If you've been a reader of my blog for a while you will know that I love this foundation. It's the only foundation I've found that is pale enough for my skin tone. When I'm in a rush I'll just dab a few spots of this all over my face and blend it in with a brush for a light even coverage.

Out of the many brushes I own I've chosen the two most essential to my collection. The expert face brush is excellent for blending foundation and concealer into the face without creating any lines. And this big fluffy powder brush is great for swirling round in face powder and provides fast application.

Eyeshadow

I always have some kind of eyeshadow in my essentials bag. For fast application I'll usually just dab a little on my fingertip and apply it straight to my eyelid.

Powder is great for just mattifying the face especially if you have oily skin. I like to apply a light dusting just to set my make-up. I always follow up with a bit of blusher for that pretty touch!
